At 14 days in Morocco, this tour has room to slow down in places our shorter Agadir departures simply can’t. Building on the 12-day version, we’ve added a stop at Skoura—a palm oasis dotted with crumbling kasbahs that most itineraries drive straight past between Ouarzazate and the Dades Valley—and a dedicated cultural day in Marrakech, built around a cooking class and a hammam rather than more sightseeing.
The route still touches everything the shorter tours cover — two separate Sahara dune fields, the High Atlas, Marrakech’s medina, and the Atlantic coast at Essaouira — but with enough time built in that no single day feels rushed.

Day-by-Day Itinerary: 14 Days in Morocco From Agadir to Marrakech via Essaouira & Merzouga
At any time that you want our assistance, we will come to pick you up from any area in Agadir, including your hotel or riad. You will discover the cities of Taroudant and Taliouine, which is the capital of saffron in Morocco, along the trail that travels over the Anti-Atlas. Both of these places sit in Morocco. Following that, the road continues southward into the Draa Valley until it reaches Zagora, which has traditionally been the final important halt before Saharan caravan routes. Zagora is located in the northwest of the Draa Valley.
a trek over the desert in a four-wheel-drive vehicle that drives deeper into the desert toward Erg Chigaga, one of the greatest dune fields in Morocco and also one of the least visited. After being brought to the sand dunes, you will thereafter be taken on a camel ride into the sand dunes, where you will then have a typical campnight, supper, and the opportunity to watch the sunset when you get at the location.
On the third day of your 2 weeks in Morocco, you will see the sunrise over the Erg Chigaga dunes, then the scenario starts with the morning breaking over the Erg Chigaga dunes, which is then followed by the return transfer and a drive north through N’Kob to Aït Benhaddou, a fortified ksar that acts as a setting for films and is featured on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After that, the journey continues to Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night. Ouarzazate will be the next stop on the itinerary. The return transfer will include a drive north through N’Kob to Aït Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed fortified ksar and film location, before continuing to Ouarzazate for the night.
Skoura is a massive palm oasis that is also home to some of the kasbahs that are now partially in ruins. In addition to being home to some of the oldest kasbahs in the region, Skoura is also home to some of the kasbahs that are in ruins. Skoura may be reached by way of a short and leisurely drive. This is one of the options available. A stroll through the palm groves provides a more relaxing alternative to the days that are filled with a lot of traveling due to the circumstances that are surrounding the area. This can be done before continuing on to the Dades Valley for the night.
Merzouga can be reached by first stopping at the Todra Gorge, which is a limestone canyon that is 300 meters high, and then continuing on through Tinghir and Erfoud. Merzouga allows travelers to reach their destination. After a camel ride across the Erg Chebbi dunes, you will arrive at your camp in time for supper, the sunset, and another night of sleeping under the stars when you return to your tent.
Following the dawn over the sand dunes, a camel ride will be taken back to Merzouga, and then a halt will be made at Rissani, which was historically an important crossing location for caravans moving across the Sahara. Rissani will not be missed. After that, the path shifts course and begins to head more toward the west. During the journey to the High Atlas, you will have a chance to stop and spend the night.
Taking the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which is the highest mountain route in Morocco and is available throughout the entire year, with the intention of traversing the High Atlas Mountains and then descending into Marrakech is a spectacular experience. After you have checked in, you will have the evening to yourself to go sightseeing in Jemaa el-Fnaa.
A full day to explore the medina You will have the option to explore the medina, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the souks, and the Majorelle Garden at your own pace during the entire day. Your driver-guide is available for a tour that lasts for a half-day or a full day, and you may request either one. You can explore the Koutoubia Mosque, the Bahia Palace, the souks, and the Majorelle Garden at your own pace, with your driver-guide available for a half-day or full-day tour on request.
During this day trip, you will travel through Berber towns, weekly souks, and terraced farms on your way to the Ourika Valley, which is located in the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you will stop at the Setti Fatma waterfalls for those interested in climbing and viewing them.
On purpose, a day with more relaxed activities. Over the course of the morning, participants will take part in a hands-on Moroccan cooking lesson, which will often include a tagine and traditional salads. A traditional Moroccan hammam and massage will be provided to the attendees in the afternoon. Not only is there no need to drive, but there is also no hectic tourism schedule.
The fortified Atlantic port city of Essaouira is well-known for its ramparts that date back to the 18th century, its bustling fishing harbor, and its windswept blue-and-white medina. Essaouira sits on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. A picturesque journey that winds through argan tree groves in the west is the route that leads to this location.
The ramparts and Skala fortifications, the fishing port, the art stores in the medina, and time spent on the beach are all options for a full day of exploration in Essaouira, which you can accomplish at your own pace. You may also choose to spend time on the beach. As an additional option, you may go to the beach. Additionally, local arrangements may be made for optional add-ons such as a surf lesson or a visit to an argan-oil cooperative. These are examples of additions that can be made. Examples of additions that can be arranged include the ones listed here.
You will have the opportunity to revisit any places that you missed earlier in the day, such as a particular souk, a garden, or a final tour around the medina, due to the fact that the trip back to Marrakech will take you via the argan groves. Because of this, you will be able to make the most of the time you spend in Morocco.
Before being taken to the Menara Airport in Marrakech or having the opportunity to go on to your next destination, which will mark the finish of the journey of two weeks in Morocco itinerary, you will have the morning to yourself in Marrakech.
