This is the one-way version of our Agadir departures: same Anti-Atlas crossing, same night in the Erg Chebbi dunes, but instead of circling back to the coast, the fourth day takes you over the High Atlas to Marrakech. It’s the logical decision if your journey is heading north, whether that’s a few more days in the Marrakech medina or a flight home from Marrakech-Menara Airport, as it converts a “backtrack” day into forward movement.
As with all our Agadir departures, this is a private tour Agadir Marrakech via Merzouga—your own air-conditioned vehicle and driver-guide, not a shared minibus on someone else’s schedule.

Day-by-Day Itinerary: 4 Days Tour From Agadir to Marrakech via Merzouga
Anywhere in Agadir, including your hotel or riad, we will pick you up. Through Taroudant, Morocco’s “Little Marrakech,” the path ascends into the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Subsequently, it continues towards Aït Benhaddou, a fortified ksar of red mud-brick houses that has served as a backdrop for countless major film and television projects. Ouarzazate, the country’s film industry center, is the first overnight stop, just a short distance away.
Before coming to a halt at the Todra Gorge, which is a limestone canyon that is 300 meters high, the road that goes east travels through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, which is known for its folded rock formations. After traveling through Tinghir and Erfoud, you arrive at Merzouga in the late afternoon. Once you arrive, you exchange your car for a camel and begin your journey into the Erg Chebbi dunes, which takes around 45–90 minutes. The camp in the desert is excited for the sunset, a Berber meal that was prepared at home, live music, and a night spent sleeping beneath the stars.
On The third day of your one-way desert tour Morocco, There is a ride back to Merzouga by camel or four-wheel drive, followed by an early dawn crossing of the sand dunes, and then breakfast is served at the camp. Before going on to the west, it is recommended to make a stop at Rissani, which was formerly a significant station on the trans-Saharan caravan trade route. This will give a more tranquil and historically significant contrast to the arid landscape. On the way back, the route turns around and travels down the corridor that goes via Dades and Ouarzazate. Down the way to the High Atlas, there is a stop for the night.
As you make your way down into Marrakech, you will be treated to breathtaking views of the valley as you traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, which is the highest mountain route in Morocco during the whole year. If your flight departs on the same day, you will be dropped off to your hotel or riad in the medina, or you will be dropped off immediately at the Marrakech-Menara Airport.
