This tour will take you from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert and include a camel trek. From Marrakech to Merzouga, we have packed our 5 day desert tour from Marrakech schedule in Morocco with exciting experiences and priceless treasures. This morning is when your tour will get underway. After picking you up from your place of lodging, your driver will take you to the Sahara Desert, crossing the Atlas Mountains and the Middle Mountains on the way. We will arrive at Tizi n’Tichka, the highest point in Morocco, where we will make our first stop to take in the sights and sounds of the desert. Because we will be passing through so many neighborhoods that are owned by Berber families, we will make our second stop at noon to have lunch. This will be our second stop.

Our five-day itinerary from Marrakech will take you to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic structure located on the edge of Big Hell. While there, we will pause for photographs and to soak in the splendor of nature. This will be our first stop before entering Ouarzazate City. Following that, we will go on a journey to the city known as Gate of the Desert, where we will decide to spend the night in either a riad or a hotel environment.

By way of the Draa Valley, we will make our way to the desert in the morning, where we will go on a camel trek and set up camp in the middle of the sand dunes. We strongly suggest that you wake up early the next day in order to witness the sunrise on the sand dunes. After that, you should ride your camels back to the hotel, where you will have breakfast and a shower before your driver picks you up to continue your journey through the Sahara. You will have more time to rest and spend the night once you have returned to your hotel, which will provide you more free time. As we make our journey back to Marrakech the next day, we will stop at a number of different locations along the route.

If you’re deciding between this and our 4-day tour, the difference is what the extra time is spent on: the 4-day version reaches a second desert region (Zagora); this 5-day version goes deeper into Merzouga itself.

A Great Visit to the Sahara!
After looking at many tour companies, I am glad That we picked this one. It suited our needs perfectly. The guide was courteous and friendly. We had a five day trip which moved at a good pace and we were able to stop, take pictures and enjoy the sight. The camel ride in the desert was fun and being in the Sahara at night a sight to remember. I would recommend this agency to anyone.
