Zagora is the only feasible choice if you only have two days to spare in Marrakech and yet want to experience a true Sahara night. This means that you will not be able to see the Agafay stone desert, but rather actual dunes and a camel journey. The Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga are more well-known than those in the desert region of Zagora; nevertheless, they are located five to six hours further away from Marrakech, which makes it hard to complete a tour that includes an overnight stay and a return trip in only two days. This tour takes advantage of the shorter distance to provide you with the complete experience, which includes Aït Benhaddou, a desert camp, a camel trek, and a sunset, without require you to endure the lengthy and exhausting journey that Merzouga would require at this particular timeframe.

It is recommended that you book this tour if you are short on time but absolutely cannot miss the opportunity to visit the desert, and if you are unable to take a longer excursion to Merzouga (our three-day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga and beyond) during this trip.

    Great expperience!
We made a two-day vacation from Marrakech, leaving at approximately 7.30 a.m. from our Riad in the Medina. We stopped at several spots to take pictures, buy coffee, and use the restroom, and we got beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains. In the afternoon, we went to Ait Ben Haddou, which was well worth it. We next rode camels for 1.5 hours to the Berber camp in Zagora, where we enjoyed a delicious tajine and an unforgettable evening. However, sleeping in the tents (at least with the door open) was nearly impossible due to the extreme heat. After a camel ride back (30 minutes or so), we traveled to Ouarzazate for a tour before returning to Marrakech.

It was one of the most beautiful experiences in Morroco. The trip was well organized from the pick up till the return, the driver was excellent help along the way his minibus was clean and comfortable, and we saw amazing landscapes and views also a Berbers village lifestyle. The camel ride was very exciting to assist the wonderful sunset, the beds are super comfortable and all were super clean, food was good, and traditional music and good times around a campfire far from the world and close to the sky. The people were very nice and welcoming. Thank you for making our wish come true
